The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department recently took delivery of a 35’ Command Operations Fifth Wheel trailer.  The Command Operations Fifth Wheel trailer was built by Universal Specialty Vehicles, Inc. is located in Perris California.  USV worked hand in hand with the Sheriff’s Department to develop a Command Operations trailer to meet their specific needs.  The needs included the mass undertaking needed for an event such as the NASCAR race.  The Command Operations trailer made its maiden voyage at the Auto Club Speedway and according to John Amrhein the Emergency Service Coordinator “it worked like a charm.”  The Command Operations trailer was graciously donated to the Sheriff’s Department by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.   Universal Specialty Vehicles, Inc. and NASCAR are working together with local law enforcement to keep race fans safe.
