Universal Specialty Vehicles worked hand-in-hand with Southern California Edison to revitalize an aging mobile response vehicle into something that could quickly and effectively respond to any disaster that is posed to the Southern California area.
We worked tirelessly to replace existing electrical and power generating components, in order to create a more efficient, environmentally friendly vehicle. We also spent considerable time working with Edison to create an interior space that was ergonomic and functional.
The final result is a shining example of emergency preparedness. To that point, the vehicle has since been dispatched to the Great California Shakeout and the devastating Station Fire, and will be prepared to meet any challenge that threatens the safety and security of Southern California’s energy infrastructure.
